WASKF students actively participated in the Invitational West Bengal Yakushin Shotokan Karate Championship, organized by Kokusai Yakushin Shotokan Karate Do India on January 21, 2024, in Kankra Mizunagar. Our students showcased commendable performances, exemplified by Neha Shaw securing 2nd place in KATA and 3rd place in KUMITE, Rahul Ram achieving 2nd place in KATA and 3rd place in KUMITE, Nandini Giri earning 3rd place in KATA and 2nd place in KUMITE, Aindrila Chakraborty grabbing 2nd place in KATA and 3rd place in KUMITE, Koustav Acharya attaining 1st place in KATA and 3rd place in KUMITE, and Sisupal Kumar Ram securing 3rd place in KATA.
WASKF left a lasting impression, with Sensei Rahul, Kalpana, Aindrila, Neha, Nandini, Koustav, and Shishupal actively contributing to the championship in official capacities, including judging and refereeing. They worked under the guidance of Shihan Anil Kumar Ram, the President and Chief Technical Director of the World Ankurastra Shotokan Karate Federation. This experience provided them with valuable insights and learnings from the championship.
