On the 2nd of June, 2024, a Sunday, a melody singing night was organized by Jhalda Ali Brothers at Jhalda 1 No. Community Hall to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Jhalda Sursangam. During this night, a karate demonstration was conducted by Sensei Sumit Goswami, the Vice President of the World Ankurastra Shatakan Karate Federation of West Bengal, the Chief Instructor of Purulia, and the Chief Instructor of Jharkhand.
Sensei Sumit Goswami was honored by Jhalda Sursangam for his contributions to karate. Sensei Sumit Goswami remarked that he never imagined he would be invited to such an event. He said the event was excellent and that he wanted to convey a message to the new generation in the presence of all the guardians: learning karate not only increases confidence and enables self-defense, but it also instills discipline, sharpens the brain, keeps every part of the body active through warm-up exercises, and maintains overall health. Therefore, he encouraged the new generation to come forward and learn karate.
