Remarkable Achievements at Kangra District Karate Championships 2024

Baijnath, June 16th, 2024 – The Kangra District Karate Championships 2024 saw outstanding performances by young karatekas from various schools, all under the expert guidance of Shihan Anil Kumar Ram, President and Chief Technical Director of World Ankurastra Shotokan Karate Federation, and General Secretary Shihan Ritika Ram.

Among the champions from Green Field School, Akshita (Class 8 Rose) clinched the Bronze Medal in Kata, while Arushi Prasher (Class 8 Rose) clinched the Silver Medal in Kata and Akankshi (Class 8 Rose) each secured Bronze Medals in Kata.

Adding to the stellar performances, Anvi Kapoor from Global Cambridge School, Yol Cantt, won two Gold Medals in both Kata and Kumite. Sejal from Dhouladhar Public School also secured two Gold Medals in Kata and Kumite.

Shivam Kumar Ram from Junior Achievers’ A Play School earned a Gold Medal in Kata, while Pragyan Guleria from Delhi Public School won a Silver Medal in Kata.

Students from Sambota Tibetan, Mewoen Tsuglag Petoen School demonstrated exceptional skills:

  • Dhesel Tenzin: Gold in Kata and Bronze in Kumite
  • Chokzey Tenzin: Silver in Kata and Bronze in Kumite
  • Tenzin Losel: Gold in Kata and Gold in Kumite
  • Pelha Tenzin: Gold in Kata and Silver in Kumite
  • Youtso Tenzin: Gold in Kata and Bronze in Kumite
  • Choeyang Tenzin: Silver in Kata

These young athletes have showcased remarkable talent and dedication, and we are proud of their accomplishments. Their success is a testament to the high-quality coaching and mentorship provided by Shihan Anil Kumar Ram and his team.

Special thanks to Hanshi Janakraj Jamwal, mentor of Karate Association of Himachal Pradesh, and Sensei Daman Jamwal, General Secretary of Karate Association of Himachal Pradesh, for offering such a valuable platform for these young karatekas to shine.
